The Commissioners' Court of Tom Green County Texas met in Regular Session, December 18, 2018 in the Edd B. & Frances Frink Keyes Building with the following members:

1. County Judge Stephen C. Floyd called the meeting to order and ratified that a Quorum is present at 8:30 am. 

2. The Invocation was given by Commissioner Ralph Hoelscher.
Commissioner  led in the Pledges to the United States and the State of Texas. 


3. Announcement: Anyone intending to address the Commissioners’ Court shall complete and turn in to the County Judge a Witness Testimony form with the exception of Tom Green County Employees who are providing resource information pursuant to an Agenda item.
             
4. Moved to approve the following items on the CONSENT AGENDA as presented: 

A. Acknowledged the minutes from the last meeting(s) of October 10th, 2018. 

B. Consider Treasurer Claims Register and Bills to be Paid Report.

 
Moved to approve the Treasurer's Claim Register, through December 7, 2018  in the amount of $509,972.24, no Bills to be paid.

10.  Consider issues with Mineral Wells Crossing. (Commissioner Bill Ford)
Numerous citizens from the area addressed the Court with the issues, pictures and talking points regarding the potential dangers of the crossing especially at night.  Requested confirmation of an alternate exit. Discussion on Suspension bridge or other structure is being discussed with TXDot.  No Action taken at this time.

A. County Courthouse Renovation
Update:  No update.

B. County Detention Construction
Update:  One more bad weather day has been used making a total of 44 of the 48 days, allotted in the contract, having been used.  All other work is continuing as scheduled. Due to the construction on US Hwy 67 the access off of US Hwy 67/277 is closed and Tractor Trail has to be used to access the site.

C. Goodfellow AFB - DEAAG project
Update:  No update.

 15.  Announcements: 
 
1.  Acknowledge that today's Court Agenda was posted December 14, 2018 at  2:55 PM. 
 2.  Josh Blanek introduced the new 4-H Agent, Hailey Meyers and announced the annual Extension Office Christmas Appreciation Reception was starting at 10:00 this morning, so come meet Hailey.
3.  Judge Floyd announced that the necessity for one more Court meeting in 2018 was needed and would be at 8:30 AM December 28, 2018, due to the Christmas Holidays.
4.  Judge Floyd requested that all Department Heads post any office closings other than the scheduled December 24, 25 and 31, 2018 as well as January 1, 2019, so they can be posted on the TGC website.
5.  Oath and Swearing in Ceremonies for those elected November 6, 2018 will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom on January 1, 2019 at 2:00PM. 

 
 16.  Judge Floyd adjourned the meeting at 10:09 AM.
