1. County Judge Stephen C. Floyd called the meeting to order and ratified that a Quorum is present at 8:31 am. 

2. The Invocation was given by Cassie Weishuhn, Lone Star 4-H Club member and 1st Vice President of the 4-H County Council.
Mark Holtman, Lone Star 4-H Club member and Reporter of the 4-H County Council, led in the Pledges to the United States and the State of Texas. 


3. Announcement: Anyone intending to address the Commissioners’ Court shall complete and turn in to the County Judge a Witness Testimony form with the exception of Tom Green County Employees who are providing resource information pursuant to an Agenda item.
             
4. Moved to approve the following items on the CONSENT AGENDA as presented: 
A. Acknowledged the minutes from the last meeting(s) of September 26th, 2017.  Pass

B. Consider Treasurer Claims Register and Bills to be Paid Report.
 

 
Moved to approve the Treasurer's Claim Register, through September 28th, 2017  in the amount of $2,212,947.87; Treasurer's Claim Register in the amount of $174,177.69; Treasurer's Claim Register in the amount of $23,017.71 and Bills to be paid in the amount of $1,174,483.30.

8. Consider presentation regarding the WaterStep program sponsored by Tom Green County Leaders 4
Life Team and 4-H. (Jaye Chasten)
The "Leaders 4 Life" Senior Team made a presentation regarding the WaterStep program sponsored by Tom Green County Leaders 4 Life Team and 4-H.  This program collects shoes and sells them to other countries.  The funds raised from the sale of the shoes are used for various water programs to help others in need.
The Court members then each donated shoes to kick off the program.


 
             
9. Consider accepting an extraordinary disbursement grant, in the amount of $50,000, from the Texas
Indigent Defense Commission. (Nathan Cradduck)

Moved to approve accepting an extraordinary disbursement grant, in the amount of $50,000, from the Texas
Indigent Defense Commission and approved the Budget Amendment, as presented.
